Chapter 25

Jasper doesn’t take himself out of me as he turns me away from the window to sit on his lap.

“I’m not done with you yet,” he announces as his hands knead my breasts. He likes squeezing my nipples. When I tense up against him, he squeezes them some more.

“If that was punishment, then I won,” I say with a smirk.

Suddenly, I’m lying on the sofa, and we’re kissing as if there were no tomorrow—deep, hot, and sensual. He’s touching me everywhere. I grasp at his hard body.

Then we roll effortlessly onto the floor. My desire level is too high. I’m too dizzy.

“Oh, Jasper,” I moan.

Saying his name makes him kiss me more passionately. Minutes pass. We can’t stop. Then he separates my knees, and then my thighs, and slides a brand new erection into my soaking sex.

I open my mouth to ask why not, but then press my lips and swallow. “You call me Holly now, so at least we’re friends, right?”

He snorts, wearing a weak smile. “You’re always working, aren’t you?”

I frown confused. “What do you mean, I’m working?”

“This is amazing, what we’re doing, but I will protect my family from you, Miss Henderson.”

Tension raced through my lips. “Get off of me,” I hiss.

He doesn’t even hesitate.

Once I’m free of him, I struggle to my feet and rush to put on my pants. But I’m having a hard time getting them on. My eyes are too watery.

“Holly,” he whispers.

I stop in the middle of zipping my pants. At least he’s back to calling me by my first name. “What?”

“Just gather the rest of your things. I’ll show you the way back to your room. No one will see you.”

I release a breath that’s full of pain. Of course he isn’t going to apologize for being a jerk. Of course he isn’t going to gather me in his arms and say something that makes me feel as though he will eventually value me as more than his secret lay.
